Wildcrafted Nettle and Raspberry Leaf drying in my kitchen last summer

I have finally moved all my books, herbs, tinctures and homeopathic remedies out of storage and into our snow-covered cabin here in Colorado.  My favorite piece of furniture is my apothecary (apothecary means medicinal inventory) which has 24 drawers filled with healing treasures.

You are invited to join me as I highlight some of my favorite remedies from my Apothecary throughout 2014.  The first entry is for Lobelia, one of my mama’s favorite herbs.  I use Lobelia in “Dr. B’s Cough Syrup”, and you will find Lobelia to be indispensable for any herbal preparation that benefits the lungs and respiration.

Enjoy gazing at the fresh, vibrant colors of mother nature’s medicinal bounty and Happy 2014!

Sincerely, Arwen
