Gilpin County Farmers Market happening Labor Day Weekend!

Throughout the summer, we’ve been watching as other Farmers Markets get creative around how to keep their vendors and customers safe with physical distancing barriers, mask requirements, and hand washing stations. These markets, like the Nederland Farmers Market, have proven that it is possible to keep a good thing going and protect the health of the community!

We are inspired and encouraged by their example, and have decided to run a one-off Farmers Market Labor Day Weekend! We’ll be in the parking lot at the Homestead, 972 Golden Gate Canyon Rd. with ten local vendors, live music, amazing balloon creations, and so much more! For many of our vendors, this will be their ONLY public appearance this year, so this will be YOUR ONLY CHANCE to stock up on the best that our small mountain community has to offer!

As you know, these events are so important for our community, and our organization. Our grassroots membership based and volunteer powered nonprofit has taken a major hit in revenue by having to cancel our popular annual events like the Spring Cleanse and Summer Solstice Wildcrafting Party, in addition to our regular monthly events like our Hands-On Health! workshops and Mountain Mama Tea Parties. I’ll be totally honest with you: WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO SURVIVE. Like so many other small businesses who are struggling, the future looks bleak without dedicated and consistent community support.
