The Holistic Homestead has been putting on the Gilpin County Farmers Market for the past two summers…with the exception of this summer for so many reasons! In addition to the complications and hardships caused by the pandemic, the Gilpin Rec Center closed permanently (where we were having our markets previously), and this year we opened our brick-and-mortar Market full time – which is incredibly time consuming!
But…other Farmers Markets in our area have made a successful go of this summer’s season, making the best of what they have to work with, like our friends at the Nederland Farmers Market. And…we really miss our vendors and the community that happens at Farmers Markets!

So, we’ve decided to put all our eggs in one basket this summer to put on the Gilpin County Farmers Market Labor Day Weekend! So far we have Panda’s Pastries, Look Out Here I Come!, Moose Works, CSB Metalsmith and Three Sisters Weaving coming for the whole weekend Market – Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6th, every day from 10-3. We’ll be out in the parking lot at the Professional Building (adjacent to the Homestead) 972 Golden Gate Canyon Rd. Black Hawk, CO 80422.

You’ll be COVID safe with social distancing tape and barriers, sanitizer, gloves and masks. And, you’ll still get to meet our amazing local vendors, sample their handmade, homemade, handcrafted, made from scratch, and one-of-a-kind goodies all weekend long!

We still have room for a few more vendors – email arwen@theholistichomestead.org to get in on this end-of-summer community event!
