The Holistic Homestead needs your help!

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERADear Friends, We have had a wonderful year here at the Homestead! In addition to taking the Holistic Homestead on full time, we have initiated and grown community programs from Wildcrafting parties to neighborhood clean up. If you were with us earlier in 2014, you probably participated in our Winter Retreat or Spring Cleansing events. If you live in the Peak to Peak region on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, you may have enjoyed our monthly Tea Parties or the unique herbal products that we make such as Dandelion Blossom Syrup, NettleMe Seasoning, Achy Joints Ointment and Dr. B’s Herbal Cough Syrup.

But the Holistic Homestead is more than quality herbal products. Since the inception of this blog in 2011, we have published articles on everything from preventative medicine to first aid, from simple homeopathic remedies that are safe to use at home and health literacy. The Holistic Homestead supports local recycling programs; has donated herbal products to the Mountain Holiday Market benefiting Nederland Area Seniors and given a copy of Natural Baby, Healthy Child to the Nederland Community Library; the Homestead also offers free, low-cost and sliding scale homeopathic treatment; and regularly contributes articles to the Mountain Ear and the Allenspark Wind.

We are also very proud to announce the Mountain People’s Co-Op has started carrying our products! Our first retail venture and hopefully the beginning of a wonderful collaboration with one of many local non-profits. mountain peoples co op The reason I am writing to you is to ask for your help in keeping the Holistic Homestead running for 2015. If you enjoy reading this website, if you find it informational, healing, positive, enlightening…if you participated in the Winter Retreat or Summer Wildcrafting…if I’ve answered your e-mail questions and helped you on your healing journey…would you consider making a small donation to help us reach our goal?

I am thrilled to have 142 followers as of today, and if all of you were able to give just $7 we would be able to offer more programs and articles, better packaging and labeling, and be working toward becoming an official 501 (c) (3) in 2015. Every donation of $21 or more will receive a one year subscription to receive the print edition of the Holistic Homestead Newsletter in your mailbox. If you are interested in becoming an official Sponsor for donations of $50 or more we will add your company logo to the website and give your company advertising space in our newsletter. Any contribution of any amount will go a long way to helping the Holistic Homestead fulfill its mission. Click here to make a donation today!
