The Homestead’s 2015 scrapbook – what an amazing year!
The Holistic Homestead offered a free herbal handcrafting workshop at Wild Bear, giving healing herbal blends to over 30 people from around the country!
We collaborated with local community partners to get folks out into the fresh air and sunshine, and to learn about Colorado’s abundant, natural, wild growing herbal apothecary
We gave noxious weeds a new spin – educating Coloradans about the potential nutritious and medicinal properties of common “noxious” weeds like mullein and thistles.
We hosted our annual road-side clean-up along the four-mile stretch of South Beaver Creek Road in Gilpin County
We hosted free community events such as tea parties where families enjoy herbal teas and snacks, and engage in hands-on health literacy!
We published, printed, distributed and mailed 30 copies x 12 issues of our monthly newsletter with DIY herbal crafting, holistic book reviews, and articles on preventative medicine
…and we continue to be a strong and trustworthy voice for health advocacy and community wellness in our local papers.
THIS YEAR, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
In order to continue doing all the cool and amazing things that we do here at the Homestead, it takes the dedication and support of our entire community. Our goal this year is to become a fully-fledged, self-supporting non-profit – so we can do even more! Please donate today – become a part of this growing movement – give back to the community – show your support!
With gratitude, Arwen
