Our #GivingTuesday2023 campaign is off to an amazing start – together, we’ve raised $2k toward our goal of $10k by #ColoradoGivesDay on Tuesday, December 5th – thank you!! 

Since our inception, The Holistic Homestead has been CHANGING THE LANDSCAPE OF HEALTH & WELLNESS in our rural mountain community. Our founding Board of Directors sought to meet the overwhelming need for EDUCATION about holistic health, OUTREACH to under-resourced individuals, and ADVOCACY for more access to healthy food and alternative medicine! 

Since 2013: 

• We have published over 100 wellness articles and healthy recipes in the local papers 
• There are 430 searchable articles on our website, a true wealth of honest, researched and usable information (click here to read our MOST POPULAR article!) reaching 365 subscribers 
• We have grown to a full-fledged nonprofit with a Gold Seal from Candid.org

Since 2018: 

• We launched the Community Food Share with just 10 people
• We started the Gilpin County Farmers Market
• We continued to grow the Holistic Health Fair, Solstice Wildcrafting Workshop, Used Durable Medical Equipment Lending Program, and Hands on Health for Kids Program

Since 2020: 

• We opened the Homestead Market! 
• We began accepting EBT/SNAP benefits
• We opened our Pay-What-You-Can Farm to Table Cafe!
• We grew our membership to over 300 households
• We grew our Community Food Share to an average of 25 shares every month
• We have directly supported over 15 local farms
• We have GREATLY EXPANDED ACCESS TO FRESH HEALTHY FOOD IN GILPIN COUNTY including the after-school program at the Rec, Eagles Nest, Gilpin Food Pantry, Levit St. Market in Central City, and now you can find our organic produce at Taggerts!!! 

There is still SO MUCH WORK TO BE DONE, and WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT. Here’s how you can help TODAY:
